Kitara FC has secured its place in the Stanbic Uganda Cup semi-finals following a dominant 3-0 victory over Express FC in a quarterfinal clash at their home ground in Fort Portal.
The performance demonstrated Kitara’s superior tactical organization and clinical finishing. From the opening whistle, Kitara established possession dominance and pressed Express’s defensive line with consistent intensity throughout the match.
Kitara opened the scoring in the 12th minute through midfielder Samuel Ssenkyuuba, whose well-placed finish rewarded the host team’s early pressure. Kabugo doubled the advantage in the 34th minute, capitalizing on a defensive lapse with a powerful strike. Midfielder Abdurazak Mibiru sealed the result in the 67th minute, effectively ending any hopes of an Express comeback.
