In a closely contested battle for leadership at Makerere University, Lubega Vincent Nsamba, affiliated with the National Unity Platform (NUP), emerges victorious as the 90th Guild President.

Nsamba’s triumph was by a razor-thin margin, with his closest contender, Ariho Edmond, closely trailing with 2536 votes, securing the second runner-up position by just four votes.

The competition was fierce, reflecting the engagement and enthusiasm of the student body.

Kasekende Fulungensio clinched the third runner-up spot with 1674 votes, while Wandukwa Simon secured the fourth runner-up position with 1039 votes.

Noteworthy is the participation of 16 candidates in this election cycle, demonstrating the diverse interests and aspirations within the university community.
