As Ugandans in people power fraternity are still mourning the sudden and tremendous death of ziggy wine a close ally to Bobi wine. Shocking news has developed indicating another people power supporter has been knocked off a Boda Boda.
According to Police spokesperson Onyango, the victim is Abubakar Mugisha commonly known as Suspect or Babuman a staunch supporter of People power and Member of Firebase crew.
Patrick Onyango has stated that the Kiira Road police station is pursuing a suspect believed to be in a male in His late 30’s to answer for the Hit and Run accident on Wednesday at around 11 pm at Kamwokya.
“According to eyewitnesses, Tumwesigye and Mugisha(Babuman) were riding on a motorcycle and a double cabin vehicle came from behind and knocked them. The vehicle didn’t stop to check on the victims,” Onyango said in a statement.
Onyango revealed that Babuman received massive injuries and he is Intensive Care Unit (ICU) whereas the rider of the Boda Boda didn’t receive severe injuries and he is doing okay, both were taken to Mulago hospital to receive treatment.
“A good Samaritan, Derrick Nyeko offered his car registration number UAQ 900G to take them to hospital but Kira road police station has opened up a case file of serious hit and run accident involving a motorcycle registration number UEJ 213N and a motor vehicle registration number UBF 846C. They have already recorded statements from eyewitnesses and visited the scene of the accident,” Onyango said.
He noted that police have already embarked on investigations and URA has been requested to provide the details and particulars of the owners of the vehicle that was involved in the hit and run accident.
The incident comes only a few weeks after the controversial death of another Fire Base crew member, Michael Kalinda, also known as Ziggy Wine who succumbed to injuries at Mulago hospital.
