The operation took place on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at about 6:00am after officers from Arua Central Business Division arrested a suspect in connection with a motorcycle theft case.

According to police, the suspect led officers to Hidmola Hotel, formerly Republic Hotel, along Lemerujua Road in Obolokofuku Cell, Central Ward, Arua City.

The motorcycle under investigation had allegedly been hidden in the hotel’s parking area.

After police recovered the motorcycle, the suspect reportedly pointed out other motorcycles in the same parking yard.

The motorcycles were suspected to have been stolen.

Police said the team found several unregistered and numberless motorcycles at the scene.

As a result, officers impounded additional motorcycles for verification.
