TV personality Robert Ssekidde, also known as Tuff B, has expressed his doubts about veteran Ugandan musicians Jose Chameleone and Bebe Cool participating in musical battles.

Tuff B suggested that there is no reason for these two artists to engage in such battles as they are both financially well-off and in the later stages of their careers.

Tuff B shared his views during a press conference held at Skyz Hotel in Naguru, where he was joined by Jose Chameleone to discuss the UTAKE ‘Nyama na Chuppa’ experience event, where both Chameleone and Bebe Cool are expected to perform.

The idea of a musical battle between the two veteran artists emerged following a tweet from Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa on September 24, 2023.

Tayebwa attended the Sheebah/Cindy battle at Kololo Independence Grounds on September 15, 2023, which sparked the concept.

Tuff B further suggested that the money invested in such battles could be better used to support young, talented artists who are in need of opportunities.

He urged Deputy Speaker Tayebwa to consider funding and promoting the younger generation of musicians.
