In a historic meeting on December 13, President Museveni and Rwenzururu King Charles Wesley Mumbere reached a significant understanding, pledging to avoid any repeat of regressive conflicts.

The dialogue, held at State House, Entebbe, focused on fostering unity, stability, and socio-economic transformation following the 2016 security raid on the king’s palace.

President Museveni shared insights on Twitter, expressing satisfaction with the Rwenzururu Kingdom’s new objectives centered around peace and reconciliation.

These objectives, presented during the Kingdom’s restoration, emphasize strategic business initiatives and enhanced security measures to guide African people towards sustainable prosperity.

The President affirmed his commitment to this path, stating, “I’m delighted that during our meeting, we reached an understanding that we won’t repeat any regressive conflicts.”

He highlighted the vital role of cultural heritage in connecting people, emphasizing its significance in the shared history of their communities.
