Zari The Boss Lady and Beau Shakib Lutaaya Set to Marry in South Africa

Zarinah Tlale Hassan, popularly known as Zari The Boss Lady, and her Ugandan partner Shakib Lutaaya are preparing to tie the knot in a white wedding ceremony scheduled for Tuesday, October 3.

The couple will exchange their vows in South Africa, where they currently reside.

While the exact wedding venue has been kept confidential, it is expected to be an intimate and special celebration.

The couple’s decision to marry comes after they made their romance public in 2022.

Earlier in April 2023, Zari and Shakib held a private Islamic wedding, known as a nikkah, in South Africa, further solidifying their commitment to one another.

During the nikkah, Zari requested a Quran as Mahr, which symbolizes a gift or promise of a gift from the husband to the wife.

The impending white wedding has drawn invited guests from various locations, including Shakib’s mother, who have been spotted in photos shared online as they travel to South Africa for the special occasion.

Zari had hinted at a white wedding with Shakib in May 2023, shortly after their nikkah ceremony.

Speaking to Tanzanian press, she confirmed their wedding plans, expressing her intention to have a white wedding by the end of the year.

Notably, Zari’s first experience with an all-white wedding in Munyonyo in 2011, where she introduced the late Ivan Ssemwanga to her family, did not result in a successful marriage.

Their relationship faced challenges, leading to their separation in subsequent years.
