Police has refuted reports that started making rounds Friday evening that Mityana MP Hon. Francis Zaake had been kidnapped from Moroto district.

Speaking to this website, the district police commander Moroto Jude Nasucha said the reports were false and should not be regarded as facts by the public.

“Hon Zaake has not been kidnapped, he was held briefly by police and escorted out of town, he said

The information about the alleged kidnap were first reported on social media page connected to Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine.

“Hon. Zaake has been kidnapped in Moroto. He’s being driven in a United Nations Development Programme – donated Truck No. UAY 667Y to an unknown location,” the reports claimed.

Ugandanz News website was yet to establish what the Mityana MP was doing in Moroto that led to his encounter with Police
