Victor Osimhen's future at Napoli is uncertain

The race for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has heated up, with Liverpool joining Chelsea and Arsenal in their pursuit of the Nigerian star.

Liverpool’s scouts have been closely monitoring Osimhen during his international duties in Portugal, as reported by The Sun.

Victor Osimhen, 24, played a pivotal role in securing Serie A glory for Napoli last season.

However, his relationship with the Italian champions has soured in recent months, partly due to disputes with the club’s media team on social media.

As a result, it’s highly likely that Osimhen will depart Naples in 2024.

Despite the off-field challenges, Osimhen has maintained his reputation as one of Europe’s premier strikers, netting six goals in the league this season.

His performances have drawn the attention of several Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, Chelsea, and Arsenal, all of whom have expressed interest in the former Lille marksman.

With Osimhen’s contract set to expire in the summer of 2025, a transfer fee exceeding £100 million has been mentioned.

This high-stakes transfer battle will be closely watched by football enthusiasts as these top English clubs vie for the prolific No. 9’s signature.
