Learners urged to report cases of homosexuality

In order to maintain the sanctity of their schools, Ms. Suzan Amero, the Woman MP for the Amuria District, has urged students all around the nation to report any instances of lesbian, homosexual, bisexual, and transgender behaviors.

The MP holds that for children to grow closer to God, they do not need to engage in behaviors that the Bible forbids.

Ms. Amero made these comments over the weekend while at the award ceremony for the top students in the 2022 Primary Leaving Examination held at Rock View School Tororo on behalf of the local member of parliament, Mr. Yeri Apollo Ofwono.

The woman MP, who is also a former student of Rock View School in Tororo, applauded the local representative for supporting education in line with the government’s development plans, but she also issued a warning to students about the dangers of being drawn into immoral practices like lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) that are currently being promoted in the West, warning them not to let anyone touch their privates.

”We know what is going on and as parents, we would not wish to indulge yourselves in sinful practices that will spoil your relationship with God and at last earn curses, therefore, I implore you not to keep quiet in case anyone is trying to introduce you to these evil practices. In the first place never allow anyone to touch your private space because this may be their entry point,’’ she warned.

Ms. Amero addressed the audience and offered her congratulations to the winners, along with those of their parents and teachers. She also urged the students to keep working hard in order to advance to the next level of education and to always think about giving back to the community so that future generations can benefit from the same support.

‘’Quality education is not only the most important tool for social–economic development of our country but also a key weapon in the fight against poverty,” she said.

The recipients were chosen by the municipal education officer’s office based on the results of the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB), according to Mrs. Teddy Makola Ajuma, the municipal education officer. Each beneficiary received a mattress.

The region of Tororo Municipality The prize is intended to encourage all students who excelled in division one by relieving their parents of the additional stress of acquiring requirements when they enroll in secondary education, according to member of parliament Mr. Yeri Apollo Ofwono.

‘’I will always make my humble contribution towards the continued stay of children at school, to pursue their education so that their future can cause a change in our communities.
