Manchester United’s forward, Marcus Rashford, is facing a challenging start to the season, having netted only once in their troubled campaign so far.

United’s manager, Erik ten Hag, believes Rashford’s underwhelming performance is partially due to the team’s overall struggles.

The club has experienced a disheartening run, losing six out of ten games in various competitions and plummeting in both the Premier League and Champions League standings.

Ten Hag, speaking on the eve of their match against Brentford, expressed confidence in Rashford’s abilities and expected him to regain his form.

Rashford’s Underperformance

Marcus Rashford, who shone with 30 goals for Manchester United last season, has struggled to replicate his success, managing just one goal in the current campaign.

Ten Hag acknowledges that both Rashford and the team share responsibility for this dip in form.

The ongoing difficulties faced by Manchester United have undoubtedly taken a toll on Rashford’s performance.

Team Woes

Manchester United’s dismal season includes six losses out of ten games across various competitions.

This underperformance has seen them fall behind in the Premier League and find themselves at the bottom of their Champions League group.

Ten Hag attributes Rashford’s struggles, in part, to the challenging environment the team currently faces.

Ten Hag’s Optimism

Despite Rashford’s recent slump, Ten Hag remains optimistic about the forward’s capabilities.

He pointed out that Rashford continues to position himself well, and while he’s currently experiencing difficulties, Ten Hag believes this phase will pass.

Rashford’s experience and skillset make it likely that a single goal could reignite his confidence, leading to a scoring streak.

Consistency is Key

Ten Hag emphasized that consistency is vital for Manchester United.

Despite doing many things right in various parts of their games, they face struggles during pivotal moments.

He stressed the need for players to stay focused, communicate effectively, and maintain the right organization during these challenging times to achieve success.
