Chameleone to Bobi: “Let’s do music afresh and see who’s bigger”

Singer-turned-politician Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine recently made comments on who is a bigger musician, to which singer Joseph Mayanja alias Jose Chameleone has responded.

Last week, Bobi Wine sparked controversy in the entertainment business when he asserted that in terms of music, money, and education, he was superior than Chameleone and Moses Ssali, aka Bebe Cool. He said this while speaking to reporters at his Busabala Beach.

Chameleone spoke to Bobi Wine about his current feelings on the weekend during one of his Easter music performances.

Chameleone expressed his disagreement with Bobi’s comments in his message and urged the other performer to let the music lovers determine who is more popular.

The head of Leone Island then challenged Bobi Wine to a song competition starting this year so that fans may determine “who is who” by the following year.

”I have heard people talk about number one, two and three. Go and tell all music artists to start afresh. Let’s put aside all our past music and start afresh, and compete again for the next two years and we start afresh awarding positions,” Chameleone said.

The ‘Baliwa’ singer promised to go into the studio soon to release new music. In order for fans to rank the biggest musicians by listening to that music in the coming year, he challenged Bobi Wine and all other artists to do the same.

”I’m going to start releasing new music next week. Let’s compete again and get fresh rankings. Tell all your artists that the battle has began. Tell your Principal (Bobi) to raise his game. We shall judge who is who by next Easter,” the singer dared.

For many years, Chameleone and Bobi Wine have been at odds, and it doesn’t seem like it will end any time soon.

Bobi Wine recently declined to go to Chameleone’s debut performance at Gwanga Mujje. When asked why, the NUP leader responded that his adversary had been acting strangely on stage and that, in order to preserve his reputation, he feared interacting with him.
