Joseph Mayanja, better known by his stage name Jose Chameleone, has apologized to Ugandans for kissing his brother Douglas Mayanja, better known by his stage name Weasel, at his “Gwanga Mujje” show.

At his highly awaited show at Lugogo last week, the singer was seen hugging and kissing Weasel as the two performers shared the stage.

However, their encounter did not delight some Ugandans, particularly those on social media, with some alleging that the singing brothers engaged in impolite behavior by kissing one another.

In response to the outage, Chameleone has apologized on social media to his followers and to all Ugandans who were hurt by the kissing event.

After his concert’s success, the Kigwa Leero singer claimed that he kissed his brother out of excitement.

”I wish to use this opportunity to apologise to my fans, friends…I know most of my friends are really offended and didn’t carry it lightly. I sincerely apologise..it was just too much energy, excitement. I actually regret it. The energy was just too high and it was a wrong way to share it with Weasel, my brother, and I also apologise on behalf of him. Thank you so much for accepting my apology.” Chameleone posted.

“My sincere apologies to the general public” I thank you @Mukulaa for your advice and patronage – For God and my country. pic.twitter.com/j6FekUwb3r
