The Katukiiro of Busoga Kingdom, Dr. Joseph Muvawala, has officially introduced Her Royal Highness Jovia Mutesi as the Inhebantu of Busoga.

Her Royal Highness Jovia Mutesi is the daughter of Stanley Bayoole, who previously served as the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Bulambuli district and was also the former mayor of Mayuge town council.

The unveiling of the Inhebantu’s portrait took place at Busoga Headquarters in Begembe, located in Jinja City. During this event, Dr. Joseph Muvawala disclosed that the Kyabazinga (King) of Busoga and the Inhebantu will have their holy matrimony at the Christ Cathedral Bugembe in Jinja City.

The traditional ceremony introducing Her Royal Mutesi Jovia Mutesi as the Inhebantu was held at her ancestral home in Mayuge Town Council, Mayuge district.

Following this traditional ceremony, the Katukiiro of Busoga convened a press conference at the Busoga Kingdom Headquarters to make the official announcement.

Dr. Joseph Muvawala further explained that there would be a cultural function to initiate Her Royal Mutesi Jovia Mutesi into her new role.

The Katukiiro, accompanied by other ministers of Busoga, informed the media at the Bugembe headquarters that the royal couple is set to be married on November 18.

This union is seen as a significant moment in the life of the Kyabazinga William Gabula Nadiope IV, as the Inhebantu represents an essential aspect of his life.
