Any official of Government who was ever at any time found guilty and convicted of corruption or abuse of office and power, you will not be allowed to step on one of the CRJ 900 Bombardier aero planes that Uganda acquired in its attempt to revive Uganda Airlines.
According to Uganda Airlines, all Bobi wine fans expecting to listen to his music, guess what? Don’t expect to listen to it.
In Airline business every company has a right to set rules they will be following and the passengers are expected to adhere to these rules.
An Example of such rules include, no airline has ever allowed a passenger to smoke on board neither can you carry a knife, or a deodorant above 100 mls in your hand luggage.
Now that Uganda Airlines is about to take to the skies, senior officials in government have been busy trying to draft some rules.
According to NBS’s Nile Post a copy of the draft rules, to be used by the airplane paints an interesting & intriguing picture.
Firstly if a government official’s name has been cited in at least two corruption scandals, according to the draft rules you will not be allowed to board the plane. You will have to present proof that you were cleared and the allegations were quashed by the courts of law.
Secondly, any passenger with a home infested with bedbugs, you will have to call fumigation service men to clear your home or language because there is no way you will be allowed to board the beautiful Uganda Airlines.
Thirdly, when it came to music, the officials were very clear that local music will be played on board. But gave an exception of few especially those who are critical to government. So don’t expect to hear Bobi Wine’s “Tuliyambala Engule” on any of the flights.
