Authorities are investigating a horrifying incident where four family members were mercilessly killed by unidentified attackers in their home at Bukomba Village, Luweero Sub County, Luweero District.

The exact timing of the attack is currently under investigation. Upon arriving at the scene, first responders discovered two children fighting for their lives, having suffered severe cuts during the incident.

Residents believe that the attack likely took place during the early hours of Thursday.

Ephraim Kajubi, the LC1 defense secretary at Bukomba Village, suggested that the attackers may have sedated the family members before brutally hacking them to death. Two children were left critically injured.

The shocking aspect of the incident is that even the neighboring residents remained oblivious to the attack, going about their daily routines unaware of the tragedy that had unfolded in the home of Steven Musisi’s family.

The news only came to light in the late evening when a relative visited the family and discovered the horrifying scene.

Luweero District Police Commander, Living Twezagye, confirmed the incident and reported that a police investigation team was present at the crime scene.

Elizabeth Nakubulwa, a resident, identified the deceased as Steven Musisi, the head of the family, Aisha Nalukenge (his wife), and their two children aged 3 and 6 respectively.

The family had relocated to Bukomba Village from Kasangati in Wakiso District in 2020. Nakubulwa described Nalukenge as a hardworking woman, expressing shock and disbelief over the cruel act.

Another resident, Hakim Ssembera, recalled seeing Musisi carrying two jerrycans of water on Wednesday afternoon, providing a glimpse into the family’s activities prior to the attack.

By Thursday evening, the police had cordoned off the crime scene to facilitate further investigation.

Savana Region Police spokesperson, Sam Twineamazima, stated that he had not yet received a briefing from investigators at the crime scene.

Shafic Kasamba, a relative who traveled from Busiika Town Council in Luweero District upon hearing the news, reported that the two injured children were still alive but had sustained deep cuts.

They were subsequently transferred to Luweero Hospital for medical attention.
