Robinah Nabbanja, the Woman Member of Parliament (MP) for Kakumiro district has warned People Power boss Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi Wine that her NRM party is not going to deliver this country’s leadership into the hands of drug addicts.
Nabbanja, who was accompanied by Kampala minister Betty Kamya at the fundraising of a local Church in Kyalyamasasa in Kakumiro District said that
“we no longer need violence in our country. We don’t want to give our country to these drug addicts who have recently come out and declared that they want to lead us. No way, our country loves Museveni, the president just needs women like Betty Kamya, to join him.”
Nabanja advised Betty Kamya to use her position as minister to change the country by working together with president Museveni instead of leaving the country to drug addicts or weed smokers.
As the guest of honor, Kamya told Kakumiro locals that she does not regret joining president Museveni because the opposition is clueless when it comes to matters of taking this country forward.
“I was very close to Besigye but when I peeped into the kitchen where we prepared our strategies to take power from as opposition, I saw no hope. Come 2021, opposition is going to perform poorly because Ugandans are tired of violence. Ugandans want to go about their businesses peacefully so that they can look after their families,” Kamya said.
At the start of this year, Bobi Wine declared that he is going to stand against President Museveni in the 2021 elections a decision that did not go well with many in the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party.
Since then, many in NRM have branded him a drug addict who cannot be entrusted with the leadership of this country.
