Stylist to be buried in Kisoro

To many socialites in Kampala, Brian Ndoori aka Chuck, 28, has been known as a person who loved and spoke fashion and styling. During his funeral service at the Church of Uganda in Kamwokya, his elder brother, Bright Ndahiro, spoke of Chuck as a young man who was admired by his family members because of his status in the fashion industry.

Chuck, who was the chief executive offi cer of Chuck Salvator Store on Equatorial Mall, has been dealing in clothes and makeup. His sister, Brenda Mukandori, described him as an inspiring and loving brother, who did not want his siblings to run back to their parents for help.

Harold Lwanga, Chuck’s high school friend, who survived the accident, narrated how he failed to save his friend, something which left many in tears. Lwanga said Chuck told him to go and buy new white shoes because the one he had were too old to be worn for the Saturday boat cruise.

He bought a new shirt and a waist bag for the party. However, during the accident, Chuck tried to hold on to him, but the waist bag went off him, and that is how he sank into the water as he looked on.

Chuck’s father, Herbert Ndikumwami, who works with Bank of Uganda, was pleased with his son as a young man, who did not want to wait for employment after his degree at Makerere University Business School. After his primary at Mengo, he joined Mengo Senior School and, later, MUBS for a bachelors degree in international business.

I contributed capital for him to join the fashion industry,” Brian’s father said. Ndoori was born on September 14, 1990 and he is the third born to Herbert Ndukumwani and Rosemary Namubiru. He will be laid to rest today in Kisoro
