SHOCKING!! Two homosexuals arrested for gang raping a man

Two guys who are accused of gang-raping a 19-year-old male in Kampala have been detained by police. Last month, they allegedly lured the victim to a house in Kampala City’s Makindye Division.

The suspects are being held at the Katwe Police Station, according to Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesman Luke Owoyesigyire, as investigations and the victim’s 19-year-examination old’s go on.

“The victim reported that case on Saturday. (February 18). He said that he was raped last month and he identified the suspects,” Assistant Superintendent of Police Owoyesigyire said yesterday. 

 He added: “The detectives have forwarded him to the police surgeon for examination. The entire process will be done on Monday and we shall determine the way forward.’’

Unnatural sexual activity is prohibited by Section 145 of the Criminal Code Act of 1950 and carries a life sentence if found guilty.

“Any person who has carnal knowledge of any person against the order of nature commits an offence and is liable to imprisonment for life,” Section 145(a) of the Act states.

One suspect is 18 years old, while the main suspect is 23.

The victim told the detectives that he first met one of the suspects and found him at his work place at a salon on Salaama Road in Makindye.

He claimed the suspect informed him that he was employed for pennies  and could secure him a well-paying position.

He said that their friendship was now established.

According to Mr. Owoyesigyire, the suspect once invited the victim to his house, and the victim accepted.

“The victim said that the suspect told him that he should spend the night at his home so that they travel together early in the morning,’’ Mr Owoyesigyire told the press

Mr Owoyesigyire added: ‘‘The victim said that at night, the suspect showed him where he would sleep. He said it was the same bed that the suspect was also going to sleep. While in the house, another man visited and they wrestled him (victim) down and they sodomised him in turns.’’

The victim claimed to be in shock when speaking with the detectives.

He also admitted that he delayed reporting the incident for a month out of fear and humiliation.

The victim claimed that after being offered a job by the suspect, he was later let to go without even receiving it.

The annual police crime figures show an increase in cases of illegal and immoral offenses across the nation.

Police looked into 80 incidences of illegal and immoral offenses in the country in 2021 as opposed to 79 incidents in 2020.
