The Crisis That Demanded Action

Uganda faces a severe youth employment challenge. According to recent census data, 16.1 percent of young people remain unemployed, while over 10 million are neither employed nor receiving training. This demographic pressure intensifies as 700,000 new job seekers enter the market annually.

A Technology-Driven Solution

A new technology hub has emerged as a beacon of hope for jobless youth. Located within national infrastructure facilities, the hub offers comprehensive digital training programs designed to equip young Ugandans with in-demand technological skills. The initiative focuses on practical, market-relevant competencies that employers actively seek.

Impact and Expansion Plans

Early indicators suggest significant promise. The hub provides mentorship, networking opportunities, and direct connections to employers. Program graduates have already secured positions in software development, data analytics, and digital marketing sectors. Plans are underway to expand operations and reach more communities beyond Kampala.
