Kenyan to Museveni ” Release Bobi & Respect Democracy” Or….

Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi popularly known as Bobi Wine appeared at Buganda Road Court in Uganda’s capital Kampala and charged with disobedience of statutory duty, an offence prosecution says he committed in July 2018.

Police arrested Bobi Wine on Monday morning after he answered a summons to the Criminal Investigations Directorate.

However his ally in Kenya Babu Owino sent a message to Museveni Sabalwanyi to release the Ghetto gladiator. The goes like this.

RESPECT DEMOCRACY – RELEASE BOBI WINE!!! I am informed that Honorable Robert Kyagulanyi popularly known as “Bobi Wine” has been remanded in Luzira Prison after he voluntarily presented himself to the CID after he was summoned by police authorities.

This comes barely two days after he was placed under house arrest without justification or due process. Freedom and Democracy are under siege in Uganda and all those who hold these values dear must speak out!

Bobi Wine’s only crime is being a young person who desires a better future for his fellow Ugandans. I appeal to President Museveni to rid himself of this archaic politics of persecution. It has no future. It will only lead him down the same path as Gadaffi, Mubarak, Bouteflika and most recently, Omar Al Bashir.

President Museveni is a respected Pan-Africanist who will be remembered for his positive contribution to history only if he reads the signs of the times and allows democracy to prevail!

God bless Uganda, God bless Kenya!

Comrade Babu Owino,
Leader, Youth For Africa Movement.
