Buganda Kingdom breaks silence on Bobi wine’s arrest

Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine was arrested on monday enroute to police Criminal Investigation Department (CID) headquarters in Kibuli, and was charged with disobedience of statutory duty and remanded to Luzira prison until tomorrow may 2 Thursday.

Bobi Wine who was accompanied by a mammoth crowd, was arrested near the Mulago roundabout and driven to Nagalama police station in Mukono district from where he was driven back to the city center to Buganda Road court to appear before Grade One magistrate Esther Nahirya.

Buganda Kingdom through its premier Katikiro peter mayiga have shown dissatisfaction on how the Kabaka’s loyal subject has been mishandled by the National Resistance Movement Government.

The Buganda Royal Government has also condemned the government on how their subjects were beaten and teargassed by the state police and military government during the protests on Tuesday.

“Government is supposed to to handle Bobi wine in a very respectable and delicate manner” Katikiro said

He revealed that if the government carelessly handles Bobi wine, the country will be subjected to In-conducive situations (protests and insecurity throughout).

To speak on Bobi the Katkiro was in Busiro County on the launch of “Enkumbi Terimba” campaign were participants will be given high yielding coffe, resistant to disease and maturing fast.
