BIG NEWS: Corona Virus Vaccine goes public in Russia

Sputnik V, Russia’s pioneering Coronavirus vaccine, has gone public.

According to Russia’s Health Ministry, the vaccine ‘has undergone necessary quality tests’ and ‘has entered civilian circulation.’

Batches of the cure are already en route to Russia’s regions.

Initially, Sputnik V was met with sniggers and skepticism from around the world. Its developers were accused of ‘rushing’ the cure to the market without subjecting it to proper clinical trials.

But earlier this week, the Lancet, one of the world’s most respected medical journals, published Sputnik V’s Phase 1 and Phase 2 trials.

Scientists determined that the vaccine produced an immune response, and that it’s safe.

Further longer-term tests are still needed to attest its effectiveness though
